The Little Box Company was established in 1989. Originally a hobby, demand for our products, particularly our hand-made Victorian style sewing boxes (Etuis), quickly established us as a business. We opened a retail outlet in Windsor Royal Shopping which is located opposite Windsor Castle and have, over the years, expanded our product range to include an array of fine woven tapestry goods including cushions, bolsters, table runners, wall hangings and handbags. Also on offer is a range of Provencal table linen.
Sewing Boxes are handmade by us using high quality materials, mainly Liberty of London prints and pure silks. These boxes can be found in the suites of the finest hotels in the United Kingdom and come complete with gold coloured stork embroidery scissors with Liberty print rabbit attachment, measuring tape, buttons, thread, sewing needles, dressmaking pins, gold safety pins and a thimble. They are modelled on a 19th Century box which was taken on voyages by sailors for the repair of ships’ sails. An original box made of leather may be seen in the Gyffre Museum in London.
Tapestry designs used by us are loom woven in Europe and the finished products are made to the highest standard in the United Kingdom. Tapestry has been woven in Europe for eight hundred years and is one of the simplest forms of textile art.
The Little Box Company is dedicated to producing high quality products using only the finest materials. Our mission is to provide our customers with a choice of quality fabric gifts delivered with the highest standard of efficiency and customer care.
